Battery Installation Our trained technicians provide battery installation service in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Once the batteries are physically in place, we provide interconnection of the batteries within the string. We can also provide DC cabling and make software adjustments if required.

Battery Servicing & Maintenance:

To maintain maximum uptime, ABS provides preventive and corrective battery maintenance and inspections at periodic intervals. Our field technician’s measure and record critical battery parameters to check the integrity of the batteries and to be certain that they will operate in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.

Our service checks include:

• Environmental checks – ambient temperature of battery room
• Cleanliness of equipment
• Condition of battery cabinets
• Voltage readings – cell and string voltages
• Detailed examination of individual cells – post and interconnector corrosion
• Impedance/ conductance measurement
• Individual battery load test – discharge test, site load and/or load banks
• Thermal imaging, specific gravity tests and level checking (wet batteries only) with top up if required.

Battery Replacement

We offer a battery replacement programme for UPS systems for our customers. We first assess your specific requirements and create a replacement programme incorporating batteries of suitable type, lifespan and performance characteristics. We design a battery-replacement schedule that minimizes the disruption to your business. We dispose of the old batteries in a non-polluting manner.
